New in season
With the cooler weather come the warmer vegies. Pumpkin, potatoes, swedes, turnips
and parsnips are everywhere and great. Last weekend I had lamb shanks in beer
stew
with parsnip
and turnip and it was seriously one of the best things I have eaten
in ages.
Pink Lady and Fuji apples quality, flavour and crunch remain high and the red
lolly grapes keep on being delicious. Pears too are unmarked and really good. Pineapples
and Paw Paw have also made a welcome return.
